Northern Neck Commuter Services is a free regional service to commuters of Virginia’s Northern Neck peninsula.

One of our goals is to reduce the number of Single Occupancy Vehicles commuting to work, by encouraging the use of alternatives to driving alone such as public transportation (where available), carpooling, vanpooling, and teleworking.

Information and options to improve daily commutes include:

  • Ridematching services through Commute!VA.org
  • Carpool and Vanpool connections
  • Regional bus service
  • Emergency Ride Home program
  • Telework Options via Telework!VA

Commute!VA allows users to earn points for tracking their greener trips. Points earned can be redeemed for rewards such as discounts at select retailers, restaurants, attractions, and more. Commuters can also track the money, emissions, and travel miles they save.

If you use an alternative commute mode regularly, track your trips in Commute!VA to earn rewards while reducing your environmental impacts.

Registration is free!!

Commute!VA is a statewide commuter assistance program provided by the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT). The Northern Neck Planning District Commission has partnered with DRPT and Commute!VA to help commuters find the right commute option and earn rewards for riding the bus, vanpool, carpool, or teleworking in Virginia’s Northern Neck.
